engaluru Division of South Western Railway,under the guidance of Shyam Singh,Divisional Railway Manager, is organizing Unique Medical Identity Card (UMID) registration camps in various places for the benefit of pensioners and family pensioners of Railways.
The camp started today in “Sakhi Hall” in Divisional Railway Manager’s Office,Bengaluru. It will continue in Bengaluru tomorrow also.
The other places and date of camps are,Whitefield – 27.06.2023,Tumakuru – 28.06.2023,Yelahanka and Hosur – 29.06.2023,Bangarpet and Mandya – 04.07.2023,Dharmapuri and Kunigal – 06.07.2023;and Hindupur and Kuppam- 11.07.2023.
The camps will be held in the Offices of Sr. Section Engineers (Permanent Way) in above places.
Railway Pensioners and their family who need to register for UMID can visit the camps.The Personnel and Welfare Inspectors will help and guide them for registration.
The documents required for registration are,Mobile Phone with SMS facility,Pension Payment Order of 7th Pay Commission,PAN Card,Passport size photo of Applicants and their dependents,Aadhar Card of Applicants and their dependents,Medical Identity Card or Medical Book issued by Railway Department, Pension Payment Order and Disability Certificate in case of Divyangjan.
In Bengaluru Divison there are about 15,000 Pensioners.Some of them have already registered under the scheme. However, the camps are being conducted to help the Pensioners who have not registered and not acquainted with computer and internet.
Registration can also be done on line with computers and mobile phones using the URL wwwdigitalirin/umid/
Railways have introduced UMID, a web and mobile based Application to generate smart medical identity cards for Railway Employees,Pensioners and their dependents.
The cards are issued with unique all India numbers to all members individually.UMID will bring about uniformity in issue of Medical cards and enable to get medical and other facilities in a Single Window System.
