Urban Forests are being developed not just as a well conceived & planned Forests in Metro Cities but are being created as a part of tradition by a Group of Serving & Retired Customs & CGST Officers, their friends & families

The dual purpose behind developing Forests and not Parks is to get fresh air for Delhites and Food & Home for Birds.
The idea or rather tradition has been much appreciated by one and all including the Authorities i.e. DDA (Horticulture).
The 1st Urban Forest was born in Delhi on a 2.5 Acre green belt in Sector A-10, Narela, Delhi in full association and support of lacal RWAs & DDA (Horticulture).
Inspired by the success of Urban Forest, Narela, Shri S.S. Josan, Retired Assistant Commissioner of Customs and a resident of Dwarka showed interest in having Urban Forest-2 at Dwarka. He approached Shri Phulwar Singh, Deputy Director and Shri S.R. Bishnoi, Asstt. Director, DDA, Horticulture who immediately offered to associate with the project and a 5 Acre barren land in Sector-5 was identified for the purpose.
A meeting was held with Bharatiyam and the project was given go-ahead and was appreciated by local RWAs as well.
About 750 plants of 6 to 10 ft height have been procured especially from Kayamganj by the volunteer
