Services of several trains were cancelled due to Balasore train accident and labourers traveling to North Eastern States,West Bengal etc were stranded in Baiyappanahalli Railway Station.
Understanding the plight of these people Chief Minister has directed Chief Commissioner of BBMP to provide food for them.
Due to the unfortunate train accident the movement of trains from Bengaluru to West Bengal and North Eastern States were affected and passengers stranded at SMVT Baiyappanahalli and Yeshwantpur.
As per the directions from Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka and Dy CM, BBMP has provided food and drinking water to the adult passengers and children were provided with milk, bread and biscuits in both the places.
The local BBMP Officials are stationed at both the places assisting the Railway authorities in providing basic necessities to the stranded passengers.
