Desert Hawks Annual Outreach Programme for Veterans by Walk and Talk under the aegis of KONARK CORPS was flagged off by Colonel Nitin, Commanding Officer, Desert hawks. A team of 39 members started the journey from Bakhasar on 17 Mar 2020.
The aim of this event is to interact with ex-servicemen, their NoKs & solve their problems under ‘Year of NoK Programme 2020’ and to motivate & educate the youth of border area to join armed forces. This event also intends to educate the border area population about nuances of the COVID 19 and measures to prevent it.
The event includes walk along the border villages which includes a total distance of 790 kms and interacting the population of approx 42 villages. The event will be completed in 24 days with its culmination on 09 Apr 2020 at Gamnewala.
