he Cottonpet police on Thursday busted another inter state drug racket and arrested a 26-year-old man with 70 kilos of Marijuana worth Rs.30 lakhs has been seized which he bought from Odisha in a train to deliver it to his local contacts in KR Market .
Senior officer told reporters Earlier based on a tip off, the Cottonpet police inspector Balraj and his team had arrested a local peddler,Subash who was receiving consignment from his contact in Odisha to peddle drugs locally.
Based on his tip off,the police team headed by inspector Balraj and his special team swung into action and caught Raj Kishore Sahani,red handed near Balekai mandi west gate parking lot when he had come to deliver the consignment .
probe revealed that Sahani would conceal the drugs among the vegetable and fruit loads from Odisha and bring it in train to deliver it to his local contact Subhash.
The accused Subhash in turn sell it to his customers who are labourers and porters in the market .
The duo has been booked under NDPS and taken into custody for further investigations.
