he VV Puram police on Friday arrested a man trying to sell fake paint products under reputed brands.
Based on a tip off,a team of police caught the accused identified as Chunnilal and seized a truck load of paint which he was trying to push in the NT Pete market .
Based on his information,a team of police raided fake paint manufacuting unit situated on Hesaraghatta and seized sub standard paint and its products worth Rs.20 lakh.
The accused was operating in the city for the last few months and manufacturing sub standard paints and selling in the market labelled with a leading brands.
With this the accused was not only incurring huge loss but also defaming the company with the sub standard products.
