Bihar Youth in Bengaluru Alleges Discrimination for Being Non-Kannadiga; Police File Suo Moto Case

An old video of a youth from Bihar accusing a customer of discrimination over language,at an eatery in Bengaluru where he was employed,went viral on social media, prompting the jurisdictional Rajajinagar police to take cognisance and initiate a probe.

The youth,Ritesh from Muzaffarpur,claimed that he was being harassed because he spoke in Hindi while attending to customers.He recorded the video after allegedly being abused by customers.

Preliminary details collected by cops suggest that the issue started over payment of cash at the eatery,a group of 3 customers paid in cash but the note was torn,when they were questioned about it an heated argument ensued.

Ritesh the youth from Bihar was communicating only in Hindi and the group of customers couldn’t understand clearly what he was saying,they continued arguing that the note was good to go,after this altercation he quit the job and left.

As the video went grabbing the attention on getting comments in support and opposing his attitude,the Rajajinagar police taking cognizance and initiated a probe said a senior officer.
