lying squad officials seized jayanagar MLAs car carrying 23 sarees and an equal number of blouse pieces and shawls.
The officials intercepted the car at jayanagar checkpost and Ms.reddy was not in the car at that time.
The officials found the dress material and handed over the driver Ramachandrappa along with the car to Tilaknagar police.
Ms.reddy later tried to reason with the officials that it was old clothes but in vain.
The officials are now awaiting court permission to file an FIR for further investigation.
