s many as 12 people have been arrested and the police registered 13 cases against the people involved in violence during Bengaluru bandh called by private transport associations.

Agitated protestors vent their ire on bike taxi driver and thrashed while he was passing by the protestors gathered at Anand Rao circle,Mysore bank circle, Mourya Circle, Madiwala, Banaswadi with other areas on Monday afternoon.

The protestors pull down his scooter while the driver carrying a passenger was passing by the protestors thrashed him then the driver tried to question their rude behaviour they even smashed his bike to divider at Anand Rao circle flyover and a group of taxi and auto drivers turned goons even thrashed him for questioning them.

However he managed to escaped leaving the scooter in the middle of the road.

Earlier,stone pelting,tyre depleted or punctured,eggs were thrown at few cabs, auto rickshaw heading towards airport carrying passengers around Devanahalli,Jalahalli cross and other areas on Monday morning.

Many cabs, autorickshaws were stopped by protestors and threatened with dire consequences to stay off road or join the protest.

In one case a cab driver to take off from duty has created a drama by calling his friends to stop his vehicle and throw eggs on his vehicle so he can take a leave but his drama was unfolded when cops swung into action and arrested the driver Suresh who created drama and has viral the video the Hanumanthanagar police have arrested him and investigation is on said a senior officer.

The drivers were seen at Many junctions intercepting cabs and forcing the passengers to get down and thrashing drivers and threatening them.

Though police have been deployed at the spots they were busy pacifying the protestors and ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Even though many incidents of assault and Intimidation have been reported,no formal complaint has been filed so far, a senior officer,said.

The protest called by private transport association has been called off and there was no untoward incident there were arguments and fight between the protestors.

Action has been taken in some places and few of them involved in violation has been detained for questioning.Action will be taken based on a complaint,B.Dayananda,commissioner of police,said .

According to an official release,the West Division police registered a maximum of seven cases against the violators and yet to arrest the accused,while the central and Southeast Division police have registered one case each and arrested three people in total .

Similarly North Division police registered two cases and arrested six people.Similarly the Northeast Division police have registered two cases and arrested three people.

On Sunday the city police commissioner had warned protestors not to force anyone to join the protest and directed police to take strict action against violators.
