A 17-year-old PU student was raped and murdered by her boy friend in Tathaguni village near Kaggalipura on Friday.
Senior officer with other officers and staff rushed to spot and after taking stock of the situation he said,The accused identified as Venkatesh took her to an isolated place and sexually assaulted.The victim started bleeding profusely and passed out .
The accused called his friends for help before taking her to a hospital where the doctor referred her to another hospital due to her condition.
By the time she reached another hospital the doctor examined her and declared her as brought dead.
Based on the complaint,the police arrested the accused Venkatesh and taken his friends,who are juvenile into custody for questioning.
The victim and the accused are school mates and known to each other since then.The accused Venkatesh were said to be in relationship despite opposition from the family of the victim.
The victim on Friday ventured out of the house on the pretext of attending college and did not return even after late in the afternoon.
While his family was trying to reach Venkatesh called them to inform that she was unwell and found unconscious on roadside and taken to the hospital.
Shocked parents rushed to the hospital to find her dead.
The family alleged that Venkatesh raped her and tortured her to death.They accused that Victim had a bruises and blood clot marks on her body,indicating that she has been tortured .
The police are awaiting post-mortem report to ascertain the actual cause of the death .
