A 33-ear-old construction labourer was crushed to death allegedly by his friends in an inebriated state during a birthday party in Channapattana on Saturday night .
The deceased has been identified as Prasad N,had gone to attend the birthday party of one of his friends .
They gathered at Channapattana -Halaguru cross near Ambedkar Nagar and consumed alcohol.
Heated arguments ensued between them over a trivial row following which the accused attacked Prasad and crushed him with a cement block after pushing him down.
The incident came to light on Sunday when passers-by noticed Prasad lying dead in a pool of blood and alerted the police.
The Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem while efforts are on to track down the accused who are on the run.
