major fire broke out at Turahalli forest area on Wednesday evening.
Passers-by noticed the fire and alerted the fire control room,forest officials along with two fire tenders rushed to the spot and put out the fire after three hours of struggle.
Officials suspect that some people who take the cattle for graze could have lit the fire which had spread due to the summer and dry area at survey no.41 and 42 .
Soon the fire spread and trees and the grass land gutted .
The official suspected that it was mischief by the people who visited the forest area.The officials now step up the vigil to check on mischief mongers.
