Abhijit Ray,Kolkata:President Draupadi Murmu is on a two-day visit to Kolkata in this month. This is the first time she is coming to Bengal.The President will arrive in Kolkata on the morning of March 27. The state government is scheduled to give her a Civic Reception at Netaji Indoor Stadium in the afternoon. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be present on the occasion. Before the reception, the President will visit Netaji Bhava,Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s residence on Elgin Road. After visiting Netaji’s house, she will visit JorasankoThakurbari, the birth place of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thakur. After visiting Thakurbari, the President is scheduled to attend a function at UCO Bank.The next day, on the morning of March 28, she will visit Belurmath and then will leave for Santiniketan. She is expected to attend the convocation of Visva-Bharati University there. According to State government sources, the President will return to Delhi after completing the santiniketan ceremony.
