In a tragic incident,a 40-year-old farmer beat up his wife and charred to death his minor daughters before setting fire on them.
While his 37-year-old wife and daughters aged 11 and 9 were charred to death,the accused attempted suicide by consuming pesticide in the early hours of Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Nethravathy, Sneha and Varsha,while the accused Sonnegowda is recovering at Victoria hospital.
Sonnegowda is a farmer from Hennur village married 12 years ago and have two children.Neighbours told the police that the accused used to have frequent fight with wife over domestic row.
On Monday morning also the accused had a fight which took ugly turn when the accused in a fit of rage attacked wife and daughters who tried to rescue their mother,and later set them on fire he later consumed pesticide to end his life.
By the time neighbours rushed to their rescue,Nethravathy and two daughters were charred to death while Sonnegowda was writing in pain fraothing.
The Shidlaghatta rural police who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the hospital while awaiting for his recovery to ascertain the exact reason behind the incident .
