Today- Amaravati, Newstoday- Gannavaram Town, Grameen, Hanuman Junction: Gannavaram has become a battlefield due to the anarchy of MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s followers and Vaikapa ranks. The MLA’s men vandalized the TDP office on Monday evening. Those who were found were beaten with sticks and stones. In this process, many leaders and activists along with the police were injured. Many cars in the premises were broken into. Petrol was poured on a car and set on fire. In the background of mutual criticism of TDEPA and Vaikapa leaders, there were incidents like threats to Telugu Desam leaders on phones and going to each other’s houses from the morning, but suddenly the peaceful Gannavaram was thrown into a frenzy when the Vaikapa sect and Vamsi Anucharaganam launched attacks to terrorize the people. The police have also become eyewitnesses to the misdeeds of the ruling party, this is just the beginning…

An hour of destruction

The followers of MLA Vamsi launched an attack in the evening when they got the information that the leaders and activists of the TDP Constituency Office had gone to the Gannavaram Police Station after discussing the threats they were receiving. Even though the police tried to control them to some extent, they pushed them and rushed into the TEDP office. They broke the glasses, computers, chairs and tables in the office with sticks and stones. Coneru Sandeep, a Telugu youth leader from Enikepadu of Vijayawada rural mandal in the premises, poured petrol on the Innova’s car and set it on fire. Three other cars were also destroyed. This vandalism continued for almost an hour.

All are Vamsi’s main followers

Eyewitnesses say that about 50 followers of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who came to attack the Tedepa office, shouted Jai Vamsi and pelted them with sticks and stones. Some of them cut TEDP banners and flexi with machetes, while others vandalized the office. Olupalli Ranga, Gannavaram, Bapulapadu MPs namely Ravi, Nagesh, Yatendra Ramakrishna (Telaprolu Ramu) of Bhimavaram, M.D. Gausani, Nalla Prasad, Pothumurthy Babi, Kolli Chitti, Gondi Parandhamaya, Gudeti Sudhakar and Tripurneni Babi, who all deal with Vamsi, led this attack. It was clearly seen in the social media scenes.

Conspiracy before the attack

It seems that the Vamsi clan attacked the TEDP office with a well-planned plan. For a few days, Vamsi and TDP leaders have been criticizing politically. When the MLA once again spoke in such a way as to seriously disrespect Chandrababu and Lokesh, TDP spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi responded strongly. Donthu Chinna, the state secretary of TDP from Gannavara, also severely criticized Vamsi’s behavior. Party observer Vadranam Haribabu Naidu and some other women leaders criticized Vamsi at the constituency TDP office on Sunday. Enraged by this, the followers of the MLA started calling Donthu Chinna repeatedly on Monday morning and went to her house in the morning to scare the family members. With this, TDP leaders from four mandals met in Gannavaram in the afternoon. 4 pm to complain about these incidents. At 30 o’clock they went to the police station as a demonstration. As soon as they left, Vamsi’s men, with a pre-planned strategy, opened the scene of destruction.

Attacked when Vamsi left

Vamsi, who participated in many private programs in the constituency on Monday, returned from Bapulapadu mandal around 4.30 pm and went through Gannavaram Tedepa office. It is noteworthy that this attack started as soon as he passed the motorcade. Moreover, many leaders who were close to Vamsi participated in this attack.

Even if it is already known.. Police’s role as a spectator

Before the attack, Vamsi’s followers and Vaikapa activists gathered in large numbers at the MLA’s office. Even though the police knew in advance that something was going to happen, they failed to stop them from going to the TEDP office. It is noteworthy that MLA’s close friends were followed by them. They did not try to stop them when they were destroying the office and setting the car on fire. Moreover, they were seen taking photos and videos on cell phones. When the destruction came to an end, each one was sent out. When the TDP ranks came to know about the attack and became agitated on the 16th National Highway, they tried hard to control them. At the same time, Vamsi’s men attacked the TDP activists but the police did not pay attention.

Many people including CI were injured

In the attack, along with Gannavaram CI Kanaka Rao, TDP women leader Mandava Lakshmi, leaders Koneru Sandeep, Poka Kiran, driver Shiva, office staff Satya and a daily reporter were injured. The staff took the CI to a private hospital in Gannavaram on a two-wheeler. They are also providing treatment to the Tedepa ranks.

Complaint against Vaikapa leaders

State Secretary Donthu Chinna along with TDP spokesperson Pattabhiram lodged a complaint with the police saying that they had come to attack his house. To this extent, Section 448 and 506 cases will be registered. Cases will also have to be registered against Pattabhi, who caused disturbance in peaceful Gannavaram and disturbed peace and order, said the officials.

In the wake of the Vaikapa attack incident in Gannavaram, security was formed with 300 policemen. The police stopped TDEPA district president Konakalla Narayana Rao and party state general secretary Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, who went to inspect the TDEPA office. In the wake of the tensions, the traffic on the Chennai-Kolkata national highway was blocked for 5 km.

Rioters set fire to a small car

At 9 pm in Gannavaram, the situation was brought under control and it appeared that the attacks had subsided, but the riots in support of Vamsi once again erupted. Vamsi’s followers, who have been trying to attack Donthu Chinna since Monday morning, attacked his house once again during the night. There they poured petrol on the car and tried to set it on fire. When the car caught fire, the police brought the fire under control and sent the MLA supporters back.

Pattabhi arrested, Hydrama

After getting the information about the incident, TDEPA spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram reached the Gannavaram police station and the police took him into custody. He was taken into a police vehicle and taken to another place. Although they were told that they were being shifted to Veeravalli first and then to Hanuman Junction Thana, they were not brought to those two places. The leaders and activists were worried as he kept his phone on the switch and did not give any clarification about his whereabouts. TDP leaders Devineni Uma, Konakalla Narayana, Bode Prasad and others who were coming to Gannavaram were detained by the police.

Atrocity case against Pattabhi: The police have registered a case against Pattabhiram, spokesperson of TDP, for disturbing peace and order in Gannavaram. It is reliable information that atrocity case has been registered under section 307 and 350. Pattabhi’s wife Chandana has alleged that her husband is missing, but senior police officials said that they are currently in their custody. He will appear in court on Tuesday morning. On the other hand, TDEPA State Secretary Donthu Chinna, Telugu Women’s General Secretary Moolpuri Saikalyan, Mandal Department President Jasti Venkateswara Rao, Jupalli Suresh and 30 other people were taken to Machilipatnam in a special vehicle by the police for deliberately provoking Vaikapa ranks.

Currencynagar, Newstoday: Chandana, wife of TDP spokesperson Pattabhiram, has warned that she will go on a hunger strike in front of the DGP’s office if her husband does not reveal her whereabouts. Chandana spoke to reporters at her residence in Vijayawada on Monday night following the arrest of Pattabhi by the police in Gannavaram. She said that her husband, who has been exposing the corruption of Vaikapa government from time to time, has been attacked in the past and recently spoke against Vamsi in a press conference. Her husband’s phone was switched off and the police demanded that he be told immediately where he was taken.
