Six Miscreants held by Halasurgate police for hotel vandalism in Bengaluru

Halasurgate Police have arrested six men on charges of barging into a hotel in Halasurgate police station jurisdiction on February 13 night

 

and vandalised it over a property ownership dispute.The incident took place at SLV Bhavan,in CT Street.

The accused has been identified as,Prasanna Kumar,Prabhu,Gopi,Harish,Mallikarjun,Murugan,

The complainant Padmanabha Kedilaya,who runs the hotel on rent,said from past more than 40 years on rent 10-15 persons led by two prime suspects,Vinod Kumar and Prasanna Kumar along with associates barged into the hotel armed with lethal weapons and threatened the workers with weapons and assaulted them later ransacked the premises .

The miscreants barged into restaurant and vandalised the tables,chairs,vessels and the building’s walls and they escaped with DVR too.

The accused attacked hotel workers,dismantled CCTVs and DVRs before ransacking.

The property is under dispute and our owner had approached the court in 2015.Though the court had ordered status quo,the accused trespassed,and vandalised the hotel he added.

Padmanabha Kedilaya has been running SLV Bhavan on City Street, Nagarathpet for the past 40 years.

The property belongs to Nagarathara Hanumantharaya Shettara Dharmachatra Trust.However,R.Vinod Kumar, V.Prasanna Kumar, and M. Murugan had allegedly forged documents to claim the property belonged to them.

A case was filed against them for this forgery and the case is under trial in the court.Meanwhile,around 1.30 a.m on February 13,Vinod Kumar and Prasanna Kumar and his associates allegedly barged into hotel attacked the hotel workers vandalised the property, broke down walls, furnitures, attacked hotel employees, and fled snatching their mobile phones.

The Halasuru Gate police have arrested six people, including Vinod Kumar and Prasanna Kumar,in connection with the case.

They have been booked under the Prevention of Destruction and Loss of Property Act, 1981 and other IPC sections and special team former under ACP and further investigation is on he added.
