Two teenagers drowned in private swimming pool,Coach arrested in Bengaluru

Two boys aged 13 years drowned in a private swimming pool situated in JP Nagar 7th phase on Monday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Mohan and Jayanth,resident of Jaraganahalli studying class 7 at a government school .

The duo did not go to school and ventured out of the house in the afternoon informing the family that they are going for the swimming.

The duo reached the swimming pool at around 3 pm and paid Rs.100 to get inside.

The coach identified as Moin allowed them but was not around at the time the boys ventured into the pool.

 

 

 

 

 

The duo got into one end of the pool which has three feet depth and went towards the 6 feet deep without realizing.Since they did not know swimming both drowned.

The incident came to light when Moin who returned to the pool after sometime to check and found the bodies floating.

He pulled the duo out and alerted the owner of the building identified as Shekhar who in turn informed the police.

The Konanakunte police rushed to the spot and went around the area in and around to ascertain the identity of the boys. After four hours of check,the police finally managed to trace the family members.

The police arrested the coach and the owner of the building charging them under death due to negligence and also for poor maintenance and not having any safety precautions.
