Karachi: Atrocities against Hindus are increasing day by day in Pakistan. In the province of Sindh, some people attacked a married woman. She was forced to convert and when she refused, she was kidnapped and raped. It is noteworthy that even though the victim has complained to the police regarding this incident which took place in Samaro town of Umerkot district, no case has been registered so far. A local Hindu leader criticized the Mirpurkhas police for failing to register a case till Sunday, despite the woman claiming that some people tried to extort her. The victim and her family members were sitting outside the police station but no case was registered.
On the other hand, a video of the victim has gone viral on social media saying that Ibrahim Mangroo, Punho Mangroo and their accomplices threatened her to convert to Islam. He said that he managed to escape from the kidnappers and reach home.
Kidnapping and forced conversion of Hindu girls and women has become a big problem in the suburbs of Sindh province. The situation is worse in places like Thar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Ghotki, Khairapur where Hindus are in majority. A girl named Kareena Kumari told the court that she was forced to convert to Islam and married a Muslim in June last year. Also, in March last year, three Hindu girls Satran Odh, Kavita Bheel and Anita Bheel were kidnapped and forcibly converted. After that, within eight days, they were married to Muslim men. In the same month, a young woman named Pooja Kumari was brutally shot dead at her home in Rohri, Sukkur after she refused to marry a Pakistani man.
