Modernisation of Narayanpur Left Bank Canal;A new milestone in the State irrigation sector- CM Bomma

C hief Minister Basavaraj Bommai termed the modernisation of Narayanpur Left Bank Canal (NLBC) is a model for the entire country and also an important milestone in the field of itriy said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

He told reporters here on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be coming to Karnataka to take part in two programs.

The NLBC modernisation work is an unique project to be launched by the PM and it was taken up with the financial assistance of the State and union Governments.By launching such scheme it will inspire to implement more such programs.

The CM said right certificate for houses for people living in Banjara and Lambani hamlets which was pending for four to five decades will be distributed by ths PM.

This will be a social transformation program aimed at ensuring a social security for them without making them to become nomads.Such programs will benefit the state in a big way.

Cabinet expansion

On the cabinet expansion,Bommai said this has been discussed with the high command and they have promised to get back soon in this regard.

Not much time was available to discuss about it because of National Executive Committee meeting.

The CM refused to give any reaction to the statement of Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council B.K.Hariprasad and said this is his reply to him.

No confidence on Congress

Asked about Rs.2000 money announced for each woman in “Naa Nayaki” program,the CM said the Congress Party has become desperate and trying to mislead people.Why it was not done while they were in power.

The promises made during thag time were never fulfilled and there is no guarantee that they will fulfill it the fresh assurances.

The people have lost hopes on the Congress party.The incumbent government has announced only the serious schemes after seeing it’s pros and cons and taking into the state’s financial position.We will do as we promise”.
