Eenadu-Amaravati, Newstoday-Krishlanka: Vaikapa activists attacked a minority woman in Vijayawada’s Ranigaritota for questioning about the problems of our government’s programme. Pepper was thrown in the eyes, objects were broken with stones and they were beaten. Vaikapa activists on Tuesday morning attacked a lone Muslim woman who had expressed her problems with Vaikapa leader Devineni Avinash. 15 women and five men brought stones and chilli packets and committed atrocities. Local women who tried to prevent this were also attacked and injured, causing tension in the locality. According to the story of the victims and eyewitnesses, our government is conducting a program under the leadership of Devineni Avinash, Vaikapa in-charge in Vijayawada East Constituency. Avinash, local corporator Ramireddy and others came to the house of a woman named SK Rameeja in Tarakaramnagar, Ranigarithota on Monday. Rameja and many other women lamented that even though they follow Vaikapa leaders in every election and work hard for their victory, they do not care about their problems. That’s why they put the TEDP flag on their house. They complained that they were not given pensions and houses, but the local volunteers were telling them to give money if they wanted them. All the leaders including Avinash left saying that they will solve the problems. On Tuesday morning, 20 people, including Avinash’s followers, including former Vaikapa corporator Damodar, Gudivada Chinnari, Bachu Madhavi and Vijayalakshmi, reached Ramija’s house. After waiting there, when Ramija woke up and came out, 15 women surrounded her and beat her up. Are you going to question Avinash? Local women were also attacked. Pepper sprinkled in the eyes. They destroyed flower pots and vessels with stones. When Ramija’s relatives came to know about the attack..

Attacked and posted on social media..

Vaikapa leaders took videos of the attack and posted them on social media. The victims said that most of the attackers were not from Ranigaritota, they brought women from outside and kept guard in front of the house and beat them up.

Leave the accused and take the victims to the police station.

The victim, Rameeza, was taken to the Krishna Lanka station by the police. When TDP MLA Gadde Rammohan, who came to know about the matter, left to go to the police station, the police stopped him near the Autonagar gate. He was stopped as he was not allowed to go to the station. Rammohan was finally taken to the Krishna Lanka police station in the middle of two escort vehicles as the TDP workers arrived in large numbers. Until he left, the victims were kept outside without taking complaints. The details were taken after the MLA came and protested. Relatives of the victim said that the case was not registered till evening. The victims were visited by TDP leaders Devineni Uma, Vangalapudi Anita, Vaikapa leader Yalamanchili Ravi, Pothina Venkatamahesh of Janasena and others.

Ramireddy and Damodar attacked: Ramija, the victim

‘We followed Vaikapa leaders to win them over. No one came when we had a problem. That’s why.. we put the flags of the countries that worked for us on the house. When Avinash saw the TEDP flag and asked what was the problem. I did not think that they would come and attack this early in the morning. Damodar was standing there inciting women to beat me. Just because I asked about my problems… Kakshagatti corporator Ramireddy sent all of them to my house and beat them up.’

All the affected women belong to our party: Yalamanchili Ravi

Former MLA of Vaikapa Yalamanchili Ravi denied the incident of attack by Vaikapa cadres on SK Rameeja, a single Muslim woman in Vijayawada when asked about her problems. He made it clear that all those women were from Vaikapa and they were attacked by their own party workers. They went to the Krishna Lanka Police Station and visited the victim Rameja. Speaking on this occasion, Ravi revealed that the victim was a Vaikapa activist and had campaigned on behalf of Ramireddy in the corporation elections. Vaikapa leaders have attacked their own party as if a snake had eaten its own children. ‘People ask if there are problems. Why go and attack with pepper packets and stones? “I want to talk a lot about this incident but I am unable to talk because my own party is doing all this,” said Ravi. He said that it is not appropriate to attack because of authority. He said that he will take these points to the attention of the administration.

Not our people.. Tedepa people: Devineni Avinash

Vaikapa leader Devineni Avinash said that all those who questioned him on issues were TDP women. He said that as per the pre-planned strategy, TDP women workers were ready after knowing that he was coming to Gadapagadapa, and if they questioned him, they took videos and spread the word on social media. He said that the same people who questioned him had a fight with the volunteer on Tuesday and attacked her. They said that they attacked with prepared pepper. He accused MLA Gadde Rammohan of doing all this out of fear of defeat after the Chief Minister finalized the ticket for him.

CI who insulted TDP leaders

Vijayawada (Krishlanka), Newstoday: The TDP leaders protested at the Krishna Lanka police station on Tuesday evening, demanding action against those who attacked a minority woman in Vijayawada. They raised slogans against the police. Krishna Lanka’s CI MV Durga Rao expressed his indignation by calling them ‘useless fellows’. TDP leaders were furious over CI’s comments.

Will the pension be withdrawn if Tedepa flag is hoisted at home?: Vangalapudi Anita

Vijayawada crime news, Newstoday: ‘If you hoist the Tedepa flag at home, will you cancel your pension? When asked why the pension is not being given, the houses were attacked with chilli powder,’ said Anita Vangalapudi, president of the Telugu women’s state. Protesting the attack on the house of a minority woman, she submitted a petition to DCP Vishalgunni on Wednesday evening demanding action against those responsible. Later he spoke to the reporters. He criticized that he had never seen chili pepper in the past and that a new culture had been opened in Vijayawada. Madhavi, who was involved in the attacks, said that he had previously attacked Pattabhi’s house as well. Why didn’t the Women’s Commission and the Home Minister come after all this? They demanded to arrest the real accused in the incident. TDEPA State Women Secretary Sheikh Asha, Corporator Chennupati Usharani, Udayashree and others participated in the program.
