n a joint operation the CCB along with the forest department officials raided the farm house of a Former Minister SS Mallikarjun in Davanagere and found seven deers,10 blakcbucks,seven wild boars, three mangoos and two jackals kept illegally at the farm house adjacent to the rice mill .
The forest officials booked the manager and an employee under various sections of the wildlife act and taken the wild animal for medical examination following which they would be released into the forest,a senior forest official said,.
The incident came to light when the CCB following a wildlife poaching case registered in Hebbal on December 18,arrested Senthil and recovered two deer horns and a sin from him.
Based on his information,Senthil confessed to the police that he had killed the deer from the farm house in Davanagere where he was working to remove the horns and skin and brought it to the city to sell and make some money.
Based on his confession,a team of police went along with him to recover the carcass for further investigations and found the mini Zoo in the farm house with wild animals and alerted the forest officials .
The Manager of the farm house claimed that they have permission for housing few wild animals which is being examined,a police officer,said.
Inquiries revealed that the wild animals are being bought from the tribal and poachers and kept it in the farm,While the jackal has been kept as pet for goodwill the other deers suspected to be reared for the meat.
