Minor boy abducted for ransom rescued safely by Railway police,trio including diploma student held

The Railway police on Monday arrested a gang of three including a 21-year-old diploma student for abducting a minor boy from Bihar who had come to city in search of work to extort Rs.2 lakh ransom from his family.

Based on a complaint,by victim’s father,Arun Kumar Sha,45,the railway police swung into action and arrested the accused and rescued the boy within 24 hours of the report of the incident.

The victim,Praveen Kumar,17,had come to City by train on December 12,looking for the job and fallen to the trap of the accused.

The accused took him to a house in Pattegarpalya and tortured him before calling him father Arun Kumar sha informing that his son has been abducted and demanded Rs.2 lakh for his safe release.

The accused even threatened to cut the boy into pieces if the ransom is not paid and warned him not to go to the police.

Shocked Arun Kumar negotiated with the abductors and transferred first installment of cash Rs.40,000 online to one of the accused account immediately .

When the accused started demanding for more money,Arun Kumar rushed to the city and filed a complaint with the police.

The police swung into action and cracked the kidnap case and rescued the boy with the help of online transactions .

The police are now taken the accused into custody and search is on to track down two others .

The police are also probing further to ascertain whether the accused had involved in similar offences earlier.
