Seeking lift from unknown scooter rider proved costly for IT employee gold ornaments Worth Rs.1.6 Lakhs robbed at knife point in Bengaluru

Seeking lift from an unknown scooter rider proved costly for a 29-year-old student who was abducted and robbed of his valuables worth Rs.1.6 lakh at knife point.

The victim Mallikarjun M,resident of Chikkabegur was waiting for the transport on Thursday night to visit his friend .

Since he did not find any conveyance,he stopped a scooter rider seeking lift till Silk board junction.

The rider readily agreed and the duo as per the plan went to pick up liquor and food and Mallikarjun even offered to drinks to the rider.

While on the way, the scooter rider took a detour on the pretext of delivering food to his friend.The accused took Mallikarjun to an isolated place while one of his associate joined him and followed them in another scooter .

The accused stopped the scooter dragged him down and robbed his gold chain and three gold rings worth Rs.1.6 lakh at knife point and sped away.,

Shocked Mallikarjun returned home and narrated his ordeal with his friends before filing a complaint with the police.

Mallikarjun also took down the registration number of one of the scooter and gave it to the police .The police are now on the lookout for the accused .
