Mamata Banerjee said about the new initiative that the rank of nurses will be increased with special training

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced several new initiatives while inaugurating various medical support services of SSKM. At the same time, the chief minister said that there is also a thought of providing additional training to doctors who have passed from private medical colleges.Chief Minister went to SSKM Hospital after returning from New Delhi. Mamata Banerjee praised the work of doctors and nurses at SSKM. She said that doctors and nurses in government hospitals work with great importance and care. Nurses can do all kinds of work. So, the Chief Minister proposed to increase their employment grades and ranks through some training. Earlier also,she had announced the introduction of executive posts in the field of nurses. She said that senior doctors in government hospitals do good work and the junior doctor is always serving the hospital. Sisters also do all the work. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee said that the students who enter to study medicine in the government medical colleges of Kolkata are very talented. As they are given all kinds of theoretical-practical education, after passing out they become skilled doctors. However, those who study in private medical colleges, they have neither theory nor practical – complains the Chief Minister. According to her, it is true that they got admission by paying a lot of money, but Mamata expressed doubt about their knowledge. For that reason, Mamata Banerjee offered an additional training to the students after passing out from the private medical college. On this day again, the Chief Minister said that the senior doctors will stay at night in the government hospital.
