Two motorcycle rider were killed when a speeding goods van collided head on with their bike on Lakshmipura gate in the outskirts of the city on Sunday .
The deceased Rakesh, 22,and his friend Pratap,28 from Balepura village, had been to meet friends and returning home when the accident occurred.
Due to the impact the bike struck under the truck and dragged for few yards,killing the duo on the spot.
The canter driver escaped after abandoning the vehicle.
The Vishwanathapura police rushed to the spot and conducting investigations to ascertain the cause of accident.
