Voters data theft case 45 ERO,AEROS,and prime accused two laptops and computer seized

Continuing investigations into the voters data theft case,the Halasurugate police seized two computers from the house of Krishnappa Ravikumar,who is prime accused in the case.

The police are now analyzing the computers with the help of cyber experts to analyzing the storage space to check the voters data.

Meanwhile the police also questioned 45 Electoral registration officers and their assistants working for the BBMP who allegedly signed on the ID cards issued to the Chilume staff and committed serious dereliction of duty.

The police recorded their statement and asked them appear before the police,whenever they are needed .

The BBMP commissioner,Tushar Girinath on Tuesday suspended three revenue officials for issuing Id cards to the employees of the trust to take up door-to-door survey.

Chilume Educational Cultural and Rural Development Trust, has been accused of collecting personal information about voters, with its members posing as government officials in some cases.
