Habitual bike lifter arrested by Mahadevapura police, recovered 42 stolen bikes worth Rs.25 lakhs

T he Mahadevapura police on Tuesday arrested a habitual bike lifter and recovered 42 stolen bikes worth Rs.25 lakh from him.

The accused Prashath Dali,25,a resident of Attibele is a habitual offenders had stolen a bike parked outside the house in RHB colony in Mahadevapura.

Based on the complaint the police arrested him tracking through the CCTV footage.

With his arrest the police have cracked 12 bike theft cases reported in and around the city .

The accused would sell the bikes in the outskirts of the city for a throwaway prices and spend the money on vices.

In another case,the KR Puram police arrested Syed Salman,25,recovered seven bikes worth Rs.12 lakhs from him.

The accused Salman from KGF used to come to whitefield area everyday and move around residential area to identify the bikes parked outside the houses .

He would break the hand lock and ride back home and sell them to his clients in and around his home town.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP East A subramanyeshwara Rao DCP Whitefield Girish S ACP Shanthamallapa,PI, Prashanth R Varni,Ghorpade Yelappa and their whole team who has done a commendable job in nabbing the notorious bike lifters and a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
