Five Notorious Bike lifters arrested by Varthur and Vidyaranyapura Police 43 Stolen bikes worth Rs.30 lakhs recovered

The Varthur police have arrested two habitual bike lifters from Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu and recovered 20 stolen bikes worth Rs.15 lakh from them.

The accused Babu,24 and Nitin,23 used to come to city by bus and move around the residential areas to identify bikes parked outside the houses and steal them.

The accused would then ride the bikes back to their native places and sell it to the villagers without documents .

Based on series of vehicle thefts a team led by Inspector,Somashekhar,track down the accused and seized the vehicles .

The accused are habitual offenders involved in similar bike theft cases earlier in outskirts of city .

 

In a similar incident, the Vidyaranyapura police arrested three people and recovered 23 two wheelers worth Rs.15 lakh from them.

The accused Shiekh Nisar,20,Sahil Pasha,27 and Sheikh Tousif,21 used to changed the registration numbers of the stolen bikes and sell it to their customer with forged documents .

With their arrest the police cracked 18 bike theft cases reported in and around the city.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP,Sandeep Patil DCPs,as,Dr Anoop A Shetty,CK Baba,ACPs,as,Manjunath R,Sudhakar AB,PIs,as,Somashekar,and Sundar,PSIs,as,Prabhu KL,Jameer M Avati,and crime staff as,Nandish,SA Suresh,Shashikumar,Shivaprasad,Smt.Sunitha R,K Sathish,Purshoutham,Muddasar Nazar,P Devaraj Naik,Ganapathi Khawasi,Prasad TC,Honesh R,and technical wing staff as,Babu and Ravichandran has been highly appreciated for their excellent work of investigation in tracking the accused and recovering stolen bikes from other state and city where they sold to leave a lavish life a suitable reward will be given to whole team for their excellent work he added.
