Bengaluru Division Observes National Unity Day

Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas today.

Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) is being celebrated today under the aegis of Azadi Ki amrut mahotsav to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

A rally from Railway Institute Grounds to KSR Bengaluru Railway Station was flagged off by Sanjiv Kishore,General Manager,South Western Railway and Ms.Saptami Gowda,Cine Artist on this occasion.

Railway Protection Force personnel,Scouts and Guides,students of Kendriya Vidyalaya,Officers and Staff of the Division took part in the Rally.

Later,in a function held at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station,the General Manager, administered Ekta Pledge and offered floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The function was inaugurated by Smt Vandana Srivastava,President,South Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SWRWWO) Smt. Shilpi Singh,Bengaluru Divisional President of SWRWWO and Ms.Saptami Gowda.

An Exhibition in Digital Format showcasing the life and contributions of Shri Sardar Vallabbhai patel was displayed at KSR Bengaluru on this occasion.Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya sung patriotic songs.

Sanjiv Kishore gave away awards to students of Kendriya Vidyalaya who participated in Painting Competition and Staff who participated in Essey Competition held on 29th October in connection with National Unity Day.

Sanjiv Kishore addressed the Officers and Staff of the Divison in a Vigilance Seminar which was organized in Bengaluru Divisional Office as a part of this event.

Shyam Singh,Divisional Railway Manager,other Officers and Staff of the Division participated in all the events.
