This is how Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the central government of the center at the convocation ceremony of the law university on Sunday. Seated in front of several eminent jurists including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Chief Minister raised questions about the country’s federal structure, democracy, and media trials.In view of which the political parties are also practically forced to support the Chief Minister of West Bengal.Attacking the Centre, Mamata Banerjee said that the federal structure of the country is being repeatedly attacked. One class of people has a lot of power in their hands. Her appeal to those involved in the judiciary including the Chief Justice of the country, they all should come forward to protect democracy.People still have faith in the judiciary system. At the same time, the Chief Minister mentioned her views about the media trial before the trial. According to her, the media is judging everyone before the real trial as if the media is controlling the judiciary system. It is dishonoring people. She said with anger, it should be kept in mind that once someone’s respect is gone, it never comes back.The 14th convocation ceremony of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences was attended by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and University Chancellor Uday Umesh Lalit, Chief Justice of Bangladesh Hasan Faiz Siddiqui, Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court Prakash Srivastava, besides the Chief Minister. In their presence, the Chief Minister said about the judiciary. She said that respect is our only treasure, and nothing is important than respect and honor. Once dishonored, it never comes back. Therefore, I will tell all those associated with the judicial system to ensure that the federal infrastructure of the country is maintained. Appreciating the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Chief Minister said, after Justice UU Lalit took charge, the judiciary has become more active in the last two months. He has taken over the responsibility for a short time, but has already set an example. We have seen what real justice should be!! But what is happening now in the name of justice! People still have faith in the justice system, and they are going to the courtfor justice. The Chief Minister also mentioned that Judiciary is for the people, by the people, of the people.At the end of everything, people turn to the law. Judiciary is only our temple-mosque-church. Addressing the students in the convocation ceremony, the Chief Minister said that today’s law students, lawyers will sit on the judges’ seats in the future. Like doctors, it is also a noble profession.
