28-Year-old farmer electrocuted in kodigehalli village Doddaballapur, BESCOM officials Booked

A 28-year-old farmer died on electrocution when he came in contact with a high tension wire while spraying weedicine at the ragi field he was working in Kodigehalli village in the outskirts of Doddaballapura on Sunday.

The deceased Naveen Kumar,resident of Honnaghatta was working at the ragi field and climbed up the tractor to spray the weedicide .

The backpack with a metal handle accidentally touched the 11 KV live wire dangling 10 feet above the field.As a result he was electrocuted and collapsed and died on the spot .

Others working in the field rushed him to a near by hospital where the doctors confirmed him as brought dead.The villagers went their ire accusing the BESCOM negligence for the death.

We have been complaining to the lineman to shift the line to the safety but in vain.A villager said demanding compensation to the victim.

The Doddaballapura rural police have registered a case of negligence against the BESCOM officials concerned charging them under 304 a ( death due to negligence) for further investigations .
