The Bagalagunte police on Thursday busted a sandalwood smuggling racket and arrested three people who were transporting 150 kilos of logs in a car.
The accused who are habitual offenders had chopped the trees in Nandini Layout and RMC Yard police station limits recently and carrying the logs in a car out of the city,
A team of police led by Sandeep Kouri,analysed hundreds of CCTV footage and finally intercepted the accused at Peenya toll booth.
The accused have been taken into custody to ascertain their criminal background.
