Ahmedabad: Western Railway is all set to introduce the Vande Bharat Express Train between Gandhinagar Capital and Mumbai Central w.e.f 30th September 2022. This train will offer world- class comfort and facilities to passengers. The fully air-conditioned Vande Bharat has several modern features such as sliding doors, personalized reading lights, mobile charging points, attendant call buttons, bio-toilets, automatic entry and exit doors, CCTV cameras, reclining facility, comfortable seats, etc.
According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the inaugural run of Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from Gandhinagar Capital station at 10.30 hrs on 30th September, 2022. Passengers will be able to book their tickets for the inaugural run between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central. During the inaugural run this train will run as Train No. 09404. The train will depart from Ahmedabad at 14.00 hrs to arrive Mumbai Central at 19.35 the same day. Enroute the train will halt at Vadodara and Surat, stations.
The Regular run of Vande Bharat Superfast Express will commence from 01st October 2022. This train will run 6 days a week and will not run on Sundays. Train No. 20901 Mumbai Central- Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 06.10 hrs and will reach Gandhinagar Capital at 12.30 hrs. Similarly in return direction Train No. 20902 Gandhinagar Capital -Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Superfast Express will leave Gandhinagar Capital at 14.05 hrs and will arrive Mumbai Central at 20.35 hrs.
Enroute the train will halt at Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad stations on both directions.
This train comprises of AC Chair car and Executive Chair car.
The booking of inaugural run Train No. 09404 between Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central is open, whereas for Train Nos. 20901/20902 will open from 30th September, 2022 at PRS counters and IRCTC website. REVISION IN TIMINGS & CHANGE IN DESTINATION OF Train No 12009/12010 MUMBAI CENTRAL– GANDHINAGAR CAPITAL SHATABDI EXPRESS W.E.F 1st October, 2022
Consequent to the introduction of Vande Bharat Express between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Capital, Train No. 12009/12010 Shatabdi Express will now run between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad w.e.f 1st October, 2022. Train No 12009 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 06.20 hrs instead of existing time of 06.10 hrs. and reach Borivali at 6.43 hrs. instead of 6.33 hrs. Further the train will reach Ahmedabad at 12.45 hrs instead of existing time of 12.25 hrs. Similarly, in the return direction Train No 12010 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Shatabdi Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 15.10 hrs. w.e.f 1st October 2022 instead of existing time of 15.05 hrs. There will be no changes in the timings of enroute as well as destination station.
