Home alone retired teacher murder case cracked duo held by Vidyaranyapura police

The Vidyaranyapura police on Saturday arrested a 31-year-old private firm employee and his associate for murdering a 68-year-old home alone retired teacher to rob her gold valuables on Last Thursday.

The accused has been identified as,T Nagendra and his associate,Ramaraju.

Senior officer told reporters,murder was reported in Vidyaranyapura police station limits in which a senior citizen aged about 68 years a retired teacher was brutally murdered in her house the assailants gagged her mouth with a piece of cloth and tieing her hands and legs before robbing and killing her.

Based on complaint a special team was formed by DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,under the supervision of ACP,Manjunath R,a team headed by PI,Sundar and his team swung into action and based on technical inputs and police investigation skills the team nabbed one person and took him into custody for questioning.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and it was revealed that the accused T Nagendra,working in a private company and staying i a rented house opposite to the house of the victim,while his associate K Ramaraju,native of Annammaiah district in AP and unemployed.

A detailed investigation by the team it was found that Nagendra noticed the victim,S Prasanna Kumari,68,a retired teacher was living alone in a rented house in Ambabhavani layout in VIdyaranyapura.

She used to wear gold jewels whenever she would go out to visit her relatives and friends .
Nagendra who was in need of money,hatched a plan to eliminate Prasanna Kumari to rob her valuables and roped in his associate Ramaraju.

As per the plan he called Ramaraju to his house and the duo kept a watch for few days before they gained entry into the house.

The duo overpowered and gagged her mouth with a piece of cloth before tying her hands and legs .

They removed her valuables and ransacked the house before strangulating her to death before fleeing with 68 grams of gold valuables.

The murder came to light when the owner of the house,the police swung into action and analyzed CCTV footage and with the help of technical details zeroed in on Nagendra .

Based on their confession the police recovered two pairs of bangles and a gold chain which they had pawned it at the gold loan company in Rayachotti town in Annammaiah district for Rs.1.9 lakh.

The police recovered the valuables and a bikes and two mobile phones the accused had used to commit the crime for further investigations.
