Drug peddler property worth Rs.1.60 Crore seized by CCB Police in Bengaluru

The Anti Narcotics Wing of the City Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Saturday attached the properties worth Rs.1.60 crore belonging to a drug peddler.

Senior officer told reporters,The Notorious Drug peddler identified as Mrutyunjaya,alias,Jayanna, alias MJ,a habitual offender was arrested by police inspector,BS Ashok in July and Rs.80 lakh worth Hashish oil and ganja was seized from him.

MJ is into drug peddling since 2007 having nine cases under NDPS pending against him.

Further investigations revealed that through drug peddling,the accused had amassed wealth in his name and as well as his wife Bhayamma’s name.

He had bought four immovable properties including a commercial complex,agricultural land in Hosakote and Kolar .

The police also found that Rs.5 crore had been deposited to various bank accounts opened in the accused and his wife’s name and not paid taxes with this the 2nd case in which the CCB has attached the property of drug peddlers.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Joint CP Crime, Raman Gupta,DCP,Crime-2,BS Angadi,PIs,as,Deepak R,BS Ashok and whole crime staff of Anti-Narcotics Wing who has been successful by their meticulous investigation in identifying his properties and attached them a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
