In 2021, 136 people were injured in 64 incidents of violence in the state. Two such incidents took place in Manipur, which ranks second in incidents of violence. In the remaining six states, there were no incidents of political violence last year. Besides, most attacks on police happened in Tripura.Police have been attacked 11 times in this state in 2021. There have been 10 incidents of attacks on police in BJP-ruled Assam. 7 in Manipur. There are no reports of police being attacked in other states. In 2021, there were 117 incidents of riots in Tripura. 259 people were injured in that incident. But the previous year in 2020 there were 22 political clashes in Tripura. The report of NCRB is proof that after the BJP came to power in the state, the peaceful Tripura has become increasingly turbulent.It appears that in 2021 and 2022 there were more than hundred political clashes in Tripura. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, even constitutional office bearers have been attacked. However, the most affected are the leaders and workers of the opposition party. Opposition party offices were vandalized and burnt. The media criticizing the government was not left out.
