hree days after Lokayukta got backs its power to probe corruption cases,the sleuths on Monday cracked whip and raided the office of the joint commissioner of BBMP and trapped his PA red handed with the cash amounting to Rs.4 lakh.
Based on a complaint that SM Manjunath,Joint commissioner of BBMP,west zone demanding bribe for an official favour of Khata transfer, a team of officals led by DySP Manjaiah and Shankar Narayana laid the trap and caught PA, Umesh as soon as he received the cash on behalf of his boss.
The Lokayukta official questioned the duo for over an hour before they were taken into custody for further investigations.
