Judiciary system  not to be one-sided, it should be impartial’ appealed by WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata :The state government gave 1st floor to 10th floor of Block B of New Secretariat Building  to Calcutta High Court. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee opened her mouth again with the media trial in the event organized on this occasion. She appealed to the judges that the media trial should be stopped. This practice misleads any case. The judicial system proceeds based on evidence. In many cases against State, there is no correspondence with reality but Bengal is getting bad name. The Chief Minister gave this message while standing on the dais with the Chief Justice of the High Court Prakash Srivastava. She said to the media- “ I will tell the friends of the media to show the news. If you have any complaint against me, you can also tell me. But stop the media trial. This is causing damage”. At the same time, the Chief Minister also appealed for quick settlement of pending cases. Many cases have accumulated for three-four years. Mamata requested for speedy hearing of those cases and requested for a greater number of women Judges to be appointed.The state government handed over a portion of New Secretariat Building on Strand Road to Calcutta High Court. Part of the City Sessions Court has been shifted there. The Calcutta High Court drew the attention of the state government to the problem of accommodation in the court. In view of that, it was decided to remove some offices from Nava Mahakaran and give them for court work. At the function of this day, the Chief Minister said that the judicial system should be neutral and not one-sided. People go to court to get justice.Chief Minister said that earlier there were 88 fast track courts. The center wanted to close. Mamata Banerjee opposed it. Trinamool again started 88 fast track courts after coming to power. There are currently 19 human rights courts.
