Poster splashes at South Dumdum municipality area against TMC’s councillor Barun Nandi- accused of bribing

Kolkata:Many postersare splashed all over the South Dumdum area accusing acouncillor of Trinamool (TMC) of South Dumdum Municipality at North Kolkata for embezzling money in the name of giving jobs at Tet. Trinamool Councillor Barun Nandi of Ward No. 17 of South Dum Dum Municipality has been accused of embezzling lakhs of rupees in the name of giving jobs throughTET( The Teacher Eligibility Test) where  the minimum qualification required in India for a person to be eligible for an appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII. The test is mandatory for teaching jobs in Indian government schools. Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education. Even his ward office has posters. The councilor, however, denied the allegations. Barun Nandi is a resident of Kalindi area of North Kolkata. The TMC administration is keeping a close look on this case.
