Yadavi Shakadher Menon is ready to take forward the legacy of Bharatanatyam

New Delhi, 8 August 2022; Amid the Festive season and rain,Bharatanatyam took the stage at the beautifully decorated Chinmaya Mission Auditorium here on the Sunday evening.The occasion was the first solo presentation, Arangetram of Yadavi Shakadher Menon, a disciple of Padma Shri Geeta Chandran.Yadavi captivated the guests and others present with her skillful act via Bharatanatyam. Hon’ble Shri Justice V.Ramasubramaniam, Judge, Supreme Court was the Chief Guest for the evening.Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs,GOI was also present there.
Yadavi Shakdher Menon commenced her performance with Mallari (Ata Talam).It was followed by Jatiswaram (Kanada Ragam), Varnam (Ragam Poorvi Kalyani),Shiva Stuti (Ragam Hamsadhwani), Meera Bhajan (Ragam Maand) and concluded the evening with a Tillana (Ragam Rageshree).She was accompanied by Guru Geeta Chandran (Nattuvangam),Sudha Raghuraman (Vocal), Manohar Balatchandiren (Mridang),Varun Rajasekharan (Ghatam), G Raghuraman (Flute) and G Raghavendra Prasad (Violin) in her presentation.
After the presentation, Guru Geeta Chandran hugged and blessed Yadavi Shakdher Menon. She said, Arangetram of a disciple is an exciting as well as a nervous moment for her and the guru.
