Health scheme would be extended to retired Government employees: CM Bommai

The health scheme for state government employees would be extended for retired employees too.

A formal announcement in this regard would be made soon after discussing it with the officials of the Finance department,Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

The Chief Minister in his address at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Karnataka State Retired Government Employees Association said,those who are retired need not feel disappointed.

The State government is aware of your experience and value.Retired employees too could contribute for social development of the state.

The state government employees and the retired employees are like two eyes of the government. Karnataka is acknowledged as a well government state in the country.

Major credit for this should go to the retired employees,Bommai said.

The Chief Minister called upon the government employees to serve the state with honesty and greater efficiency.

He stressed the importance of adopting to new technology and systems in this regard.Serving the poor and weaker sections of the society should be the motto for government employees.

One should not compromise with humane values in the face of globalisation and privatisation, Bommai said.
