Youth robbed by three errant autorickshaw drivers

A group of youth from Bihar who had come to city in search of jobs were mugged by three autorickshaw drivers while they were on their way to their friend’s house to Harohalli in the wee hours of Friday.

The victim Shravan kumar,22,said that he landed at the city railway station from Bihar along with his friends to search for the jobs .

They took the bus from majestic to Banashankari and reached by around 11.30 pm.

Since there no transportation to their
destination,they hired three autorickshaw to reach their freind’s house in Herohalli .

On the way the drivers suddenly stopped the autorickshaw at an isolated place near Girias show room,Kanakapura main road.

The driver got down and snatched the mobile from Shravan Kumar.While he was trying to object,the other two autorickshaws ferrying his friends reached the spot.

The autorickshaw drivers snatched the phones from his friends .

Shravan Kumar requested them to return the phone since he could not communicate with his friends after reaching Harohalli,for which the accused demanded money from them.

With no option left Shravan and others pooled Rs. 31,000 and gave it to the accused but the accused escaped along with the money and phone.

The victims managed to note down the partial numbers from the registration plates and reached the Talaghattapura police and filed a complaint.

The police have registered a case of robbery and efforts are on to track down the accused. The police also helped the victims to reach their friends house.
