avid Emmanuel Puig Buchel,Ambassador of Dominican Republic to India called on Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday.
Buchel conveyed the Dominican Republic’s interest to have close association with Karnataka in Information Technology,Artificial Intelligence, Startups and Higher Education,Bommai said.
Chief Minister Bommai responding favourably said, Bengaluru is known as the Silicon Valley of the East.
Karnataka is home to major companies and institutions in Technology, Defence and Aerospace.
The state has exclusive policies for Artificial Intelligence, Startups and Electric Vehicles.The State government is ready to cooperate with Dominican Republic to formulate such policies.
Bommai also assured assistance in fostering collaborations with the best of higher education institutions in Karnataka.
