Six years after MBA graduate,accused of murdering a retired bank employee to rob his antique necklace and escaped after coming out on bail was arrested on Monday.
The accused Madhusudhan,was living in a Pune under fake identity working for a private bank, when the Audugodi police team led by Inspector Manjunath S,confronted him.
Senior officer told reporters,Madhusudhan who worked in a private bank and also running a share broking company in Mysore incurred huge loss.
In order to compensate he noticed Udayraj Singh from Lakkasandra was offering to sell antique necklace and Madhusoodhan hatched a plan to rob the valuables to compensate the loss.
As per the plan he along with his associates Sriranga,Abhishek,Kiran,Satish,Dileep kumar , Sridhar and Amith Kumar approached Udayraj Singh on the pretext of buying antique necklace and attacked him with lethal weapons to rob the valuables in March 2014 .
Hearing the sound,Mrs.Susheela Singh,wife of Udayraj Singh came out and raised alarm prompting the neighbours to nab Madhsudhan and two others and handed them over to police.
The Audugodi police subsequently arrested the others and filed charge sheet.
Meanwhile the accused Madhusoodhan came out on bail in 2017 and escaped.The court meanwhile convicted the other accused sentencing them with life term and a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on June 2019.
The accused Madhusoodhan meanwhile went to Patna in Bihar and worked as rider with a parido bike taxi for an year before shifting himself to Pune with a fake identity as Rahul where he started working for a private bank on a contract basis .
The accused was not using the bank account nor communicated with his family.However the police kept pursuing the case to track him down and recently came to know that Rahul had uploaded his recent pic on a social media account.
Following the trail,the police track down the accused and arrested him. He was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy,has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP,Sudhir M Hegde,PI, Manjunath S,and crime staff as Somanna,Ashok Rathod,Mamtaz Pasha,Mahadev Nayak, Shivanand Jodole and others has been appreciated for the commendable and meticulous investigation done by them in nabbing the convicted absconding accused and a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
