Deadly accident at Hebbal flyover,Man killed boy injured Speeding car rams into bike stopped on flyover to see flights take off

A 44-year-old churmuri vendor was killed after he fell from a flyover near Jakkur aerodrum while his 11-year-old nephew was critically injured when a speeding car knock down their motorcycle on Sunday morning.

The deceased Govindappa, resident of Jakkur layout while the injured Sanjay sustained multiple injuries was admitted in the ICU at a private hospital .

According to the police Govindappa had taken his nephew to watch the flights taking off from the Jakkur Aerodrum.

While moving on the flyover a speeding car coming from airport knock down their bike .

Due to the impact the bike was struck to the bumper of the car and dragged by the driver to around 200 meters in a bid to escape .

However passers-by chased the driver intercepted the car and handed over to the police .

The accused identified as Varun,27,resident of JC Nagar working in a pharma company .

The accused was on a joy ride with his friends when the accident occurred .

The Yelahanka Traffic police have arrested the accused under death due to negligence and also under rash and negligence driving and subjected him to medical examination to ascertain whether he was drunk and driving.
