Delhi, 13thApril2022: In India, 7% of the 1.4 billion population experiences some or the other type of hearing loss. There are very limited resources and lack of accessibility for hearing care. To bridge this infrastructural gap, one of its kind Meenakshi Sound Center was inaugurated today by Mr. Olivier Chupin – Regional President APAC, Mr. Avinash Pawar – CEO, Widex India Pvt Ltd and Former Test Cricketer and Sound Partner Padma Shri Syed Kirmani, in collaboration with Mrs. Meenakshi Wadhera and Mr. Sanjeev Wadhera, hearing aid industry veterans and Managing Directors of Meenakshi Speech & Hearing Clinics.
Addressing the media at the launch today Mr. Chupin said “The Indian hearing aid industry has lot of potential but lacks the infrastructure and accessibility for hearing healthcare. Widex with its world class products will now be available for hearing impaired people through the state of the art and professional Meenakshi Sound Center in Delhi.
