Bharatanatyam Presentation by Anandita Narayanan

New Delhi, 11th April 2022; Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest and most dynamic classical dance forms of India and holds a prominent place in our culture today. Over the centuries, innovations and creativity have moulded it into a spiritual, divine, and aesthetic/artistic experience. For any Bharatanatyam dancer, their first performance — the Arangetram – is a milestone occasion in their dance career. It marks the first step in their journey into the ocean of Bharatanatyam. Ramnavami Sunday evening was one such occasion for young Anandita Narayanan, disciple of Guru (Padma Shri) Geeta Chandran at the Auditorium at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, New Delhi.
Hosted by Natya Vriksha, the Arangetram had a skillful Anandita with her scintillating Bharatanatyam presentation, leaving all the guests, her Guru and dance lovers mesmerised. The evening commenced with formal introduction of the program, Anandita and her accompanying artists on stage by Shri Rajiv Chandran. During the evening Acharya Shri Shrivatsa Goswami, Sri Caitanya Prema Samsthana, Vrindavan (UP) was the Chief Guest. Smt. Sandhya Goswami, Guru (Padmashri) Geeta Chandran, Sh. Rajiv Chandran, music & dance lovers along with other dignitaries from the fields of education, corporate bigwigs and government were also seen enjoying the performance.
