A 21-year-old woman was killed and her husband and child escaped narrowly with minor injuries when a speeding truck knock down the motorcycle they were riding on Kanakapura toll booth on NICE road on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sandhya. The injured Perumal and his 1.3 year old son were taken to hospital and discharged after first aid , the police said .
Senior officer told media persons, the couple residents of Agara Hosapalya on Kanakapura road and running a condiments shop were on their way to Hosur to visit their relatives.
While riding on Nice road,a speeding truck while overtaking them, touched the bike, as a result Perumal lost control and the trio slipped from bike, while Perumal fell on the sake side, Sandhya and the child came under the truck and the child was miraculously fell out while she came under the moving wheels .
The KS Layout traffic police rushed to the spot and arrested the driver identified as B. Kathirvel 30, resident of KR Puram and seized the truck for further investigations .
