Motorcycle gutted in fire accident

A motorcycle belonging to a private firm employee from Chikkaballapura was gutted under mysterious circumstances near Suradapura gate in Rajanukunte police station limits on Thursday morning.

The owner of the bike ( name withheld) , riding with his friend towards Yelahanka on work when he was stopped by two employees of a finance firm from where he was borrowed vehicle loan and not paid the EMIs.

The biker parked the bike on roadside and walked with the two finance staffer and walked with them few yards away to chat when fire engulfed the bike .

The owner of the bike along with others rushed towards the bike to put out the fire but it was too late. The biker sustained minor injuries on his hand in the fire.

Passers-by alerted the fire control room and a fire tender rushed to the spot to put out the fire . The biker later approached the police and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the police have taken up a case of accidental fire and are investigating to ascertain whether there was any foul play.
