A 47-year-old construction labourer was killed after he slipped from a temporary stairs of a three storeyed under construction building in Nagarabhavi 2nd floor in Chandra layout on Wednesday.
The deceased Yelumalai,native of Tamil Nadu was stayed in the same building with other workers.
On Monday evening after work he was coming down when the stairs made of wooden planks broke and Yelumalai slipped from the second floor and crashed on the ground floor.
He sustained severe head injuries and rushed to a private hospital where he succumbed on Wednesday.
The Chandra Layout police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the owner,engineer and supervisor of the building and further investigation is on.
